Output of CLSU in Munoz City Nueva Ecija needs to be exploited

Rizal Philippines   | September 6, 2014

Several years back, I was invited by a  business partner who is member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, upon invitation of then President GMA to find out business opportunities in  agriculture.  We thus visited CLSU and Phil Carabao Center and Philrice.  It was rather surprising that many of the work of CLSU have been unutilized by the rest of the agricultural community

We were surprised that a good % of what we consider beef are actually carabeef.  Our experience with carabao meat has been unpleasant because the law prescribes that only 13 year old or above carabaos can be slaughtered for meat.  But young carabaos from India are as good as any beef.

The Buffalo buffalis milk is rich in fat, and is the source of mozarella cheese.  This type of cheese is used in pizza pie and Philippines in now one of pizza eating nation and consumes a lot of these cheese.

There were several inventions of the University waiting for commercialization by entrepreneurs:   post harvest facilities implements, agri products.  Phil rice had a rice wine factory waiting to turned key to interested investors.

The accomplishment of the University were outstanding and amazing that is why I wanted CLSU to have sisterhood with the Graduate School of Business I was connected with, or even a forum to showcase their work.

It is a science city. The University is heavily populated by scientists with Doctorate Degrees in latest agri tech:   rice tech, genetics.

The educational community where I was doing part time work had its motto nation building.   And where would nation building be more visible by helping the farmers.  The farmers comprise many of the poor members of the population.  They were all talk and nothing happened. The Chinese chamber and the academe did not find this opportunity to contribute to food security a necessity or a priority

But it should be
